Pipelines

The exploitation of hydrocarbon resources stored in the sea subsoil requires the laying of cables and pipelines, as well as platforms, for the extraction and transport of energy or material from the production areas to the mainland. The vector data derive from electronic nautichal charts provided to the Shape Project by the Italian Hydrographic Institute of Navy (IIM -Istituto Idrografico della Marina Militare.
